Time to Winterize: Truma AquaGo

AuqaGo Rendering showing filter removal

End-of-season maintenance is an important part of keeping your RV and its systems in good working order. A key step in preparing your RV for a long winter is winterizing your Truma AquaGo instant water heater. The Truma AquaGo can be fully winterized without any chemicals or special tools, thanks to our Easy Drain Lever.

Step 1: Turn off your Truma AquaGo and allow the unit to cool completely.

Step 2: Depressurize the Truma AquaGo by turning off the pump or incoming water supply and opening all hot and cold water fixtures.

Step 3: The unit should be placed in „Bypass“ mode in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 4: Release the yellow „Easy Drain Lever“ to empty the mixing vessel.

Step 5: Swing the yellow lever down as far as possible to eject the filter cartridge, allowing the water to drain completely.

Step 6: We recommend storing the filter cartridge separately while the system is winterized.

Your Truma AquaGo is now winterized!

We do not recommend the use of high-pressure air or antifreeze solutions when winterizing the Truma AquaGo. Antifreeze fluid should only be used with an installed bypass kit; refer to the complete manufacturer‘s manual for more details.

Other Maintenance

We recommend decalcifying your Truma AquaGo annually. Make this a part of your end-of-season checklist with easy-to-use Truma AquaGo Decalcification Tablets

If you plan on traveling in the winter months, we recommend purchasing a Truma AquaGo Electric Antifreeze Kit to keep your Truma AquaGo frost-free, even in standby mode, without using propane.
