Truma resumes production and donates masks

The corona crisis

21 Apr 2020

As a result of the corona crisis, Truma has restricted its operations over the past few weeks. In mid April 2020, the family-run company from Putzbrunn resumed production with a small team. "We are in continual contact with manufacturers and dealers, are together evaluating the current situation and are gradually adapting in line with new developments", explains CEO Alexander Wottrich.

Donation: several thousand masks

In order to slowly restart operations, following advice from medical professionals, Truma has implemented an extensive range of measures and hygiene standards. "This enables us to satisfy all the requirements of the Robert Koch Institute and protect our workforce as best as possible." This includes an obligation for all employees to wear a mask. "Due to the fact that appropriate personal protective equipment is not always available in the health and care sector, we are donating a large proportion of the masks we receive, first of all several thousand pieces to nursing homes in the Munich area and healthcare institutions", explains Wottrich. "We hope that we will soon receive more masks, since demand in the care sector is still very high."
